FURNITURE FOR YOUR GUITAR
Startup offers stands that are as beautiful as custom instruments, with the portability and strength demanded by touring professionals.
Dallas, TX April 17, 2009: Guitar Furniture, an Amarillo, Texas-based startup, today announced the release of an American-made, revolutionary design in high-end musical accessories for guitarists; a six-instrument guitar stand that has the look and feel of fine furniture, while retaining the portability and strength demanded by professional touring musicians.
The stand, made from solid white oak with leather trim, holds any combination of six guitars, basses, Dobros, banjos or other fretted or fretless stringed instruments, and can be assembled or disassembled in under 60 seconds. The stand, in the style of Arts & Crafts or “Mission-style” furniture, is designed with a low center of gravity that virtually eliminates tipping and instrument damage. All contact points on the stand are covered with leather or surgical-grade tubing to prevent the marring of delicate instrument finishes.
The stands are designed, milled, stained, varnished, assembled and shipped in the USA. Company CEO and founder Brad Kozak stated, “I’m a professional musician, graphic artist, and woodworker. In looking around, I couldn’t find a multi-instrument stand on the market that was functional, portable and attractive. So I designed one.”
The stands will retail for $495, but the company is offering a show special price of $395 to Dallas Guitar Show attendees. The company plans to release a number of other products for guitarists, specifically a three-instrument version of their flagship product. Other plans include a line of English saddle leather guitar straps, a music stand and a guitarist’s stool.
